Community App Privacy
Effective date: October 24, 2026. Updated November 2, 2026.
This page explains what the Community app (Community by Dual Path in the App Store and on Google Play) does with your information. Your senior living community provides the app through Dual Path. Dual Path, LLC runs it for your community and handles your information on your community’s behalf. Our Privacy Policy covers our website and our residential services.
What we collect
What your community gives us to set up your account. Your name, apartment, email address and mobile number.
What your community records about you. Details your community keeps to look after you, such as your care level, how you get around, hearing or vision support, a higher risk of falling, and wellbeing check ins.
What you add in the app. Event signups, messages, requests and their photos, form answers, profile answers you choose to give (such as your interests, or whether you would like to hear about faith services), and the family members you invite.
Documents. Files your community attaches when it asks Dual Path for a service for you, such as a phone bill and a signed Letter of Agency to move your phone number, and documents your community shares in the app.
Notifications. A notification token for your phone or tablet (iPhone, iPad or Android), if you allow notices.
Security. Your sign in sessions, the device key or passkey you use to confirm it’s you, and the network address of each sign in and change, kept in a security log.
Shuttle drivers only. The shuttle’s location while a trip is underway.
App use. Which pages of the app are used, so your community can see how the app is used.
How we use it
We use your information to run the app for you and your community. We may also use information about how the app is used to run, protect and improve the app, after removing anything that identifies a person or could be used to identify one. We do not sell your information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
Who sees it
Your community’s staff see what their job requires. The family members you choose see only what you share with them. Neighbors see what you send them or share with them, what you post in a club they belong to, and your profile details as the directory shows them. Some features show what you share on a screen in your community or in a resident’s home, such as a digital picture frame; the feature tells you when it does. Dual Path’s providers for hosting, email, text messages and phone notifications handle your information only to run the app, under the same protections as this page.
Keeping and removing it
Your community decides how long resident and staff records are kept. To ask to delete your Community by Dual Path account, contact your community’s office or Dual Path below. We first confirm that the request comes from you. A family member’s account is then closed. For a resident or a staff member, we send the request to your community, which decides what happens to its records. Closing your account ends your access to it; it does not erase every record about you. Records your community must keep, such as care records, are kept as the law and your community’s agreement with Dual Path require. So are copies of messages (a notice already delivered to someone’s phone or email, what someone reported to staff, and backups until they are replaced on their normal schedule) and the record that shows you agreed to the app’s Terms of Use. We will tell you when your account is closed. A resident can remove a family member’s access at any time in the app (More, Family).
